On February 21, 2002, in La Mesa, California, Michael Jackson gave birth to Prince Michael Jackson II through surrogacy. Although the surrogate mother’s identity is unknown, Michael has admitted that his child was born through artificial insemination using his own sperm and a surrogate mother. Together with his half-siblings, he was raised in Neverland Ranch.
Bigi’s father tried to conceal Bigi and his half-siblings’ identities from the media, paparazzi, and fans by having them wear a variety of masks and veils during their early years.
Jackson made his debut on television in the 2003 documentary Living with Michael Jackson. His father revealed the meaning of his nickname, Blanket, in the documentary, which is to “blanket” or “cover” someone with love.
When Jackson was a baby, his father Michael tried to flaunt him to a swarm of followers waiting outside the Hotel Adlon in Berlin, Germany, by dangling him from a balcony. This caused outrage among the public. Later, his father came to regret his error. The balcony incident, however, has been widely mocked and made fun of by the media and other celebrities.
Michael Jackson, the father of Michael Jackson, experienced a heart arrest on June 25, 2009, and passed away shortly after. At the time of his passing, the pop icon was 50 years old, and Prince Michael Jackson II was only seven.
Jackson’s grandmother Katherine Jackson was appointed as both his and his sibling Michael and Paris’ legal guardian.
The three children addressed the crowd after their father’s burial in 2009 and again in January 2010 when they were presenting a Grammy posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award for Michael Jackson.
A coroner’s report on Michael’s death that was officially revealed in February 2010 stated that the singer had passed away from acute propofol intoxication. Michael had utilized the medication, among other things, to help him sleep, with the assistance of his personal doctor, Dr. Conrad Murray.
The doctor’s actions while acting as Michael’s caregiver were then further investigated after it was discovered through a police investigation that Murray had not been granted a license to dispense the majority of controlled drugs in California. On November 7, 2011, Murray was found guilty of murder and given a four-year prison term.
According to multiple stories that arose in 2015, Jackson no longer preferred to go by the moniker “Blanket.” Numerous online publications made this assertion, and even the 2015 Buckley School yearbook named him Bigi Jackson. After years of being called “Blanket” in jest, he supposedly acquired this nickname.
