Joseph Bentz serves as the Deputy Director of the Defense Contract Audit Agency, where he assists the Director in overseeing the agency’s global operations. Before assuming this role, Mr. Bentz held the position of Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army (Management and Budget) in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works.
In this capacity, he was responsible for managing all aspects of the Civil Works budget and overseeing the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ reimbursable international and inter-agency support activities.
Mr. Bentz’s career started in 1987 when he joined the Army Audit Agency. Throughout his professional journey, he held various positions, including staff auditor and leadership roles in the Northeast Region.
Recognized for his achievements, he was appointed to the Senior Executive Service in 2009 and subsequently took on the role of Principle Deputy Auditor General for the Army Audit Agency.
